Story as recalled by Teja Blelis-Torres:

"I remember this was one of my few visits, I stayed 3 days. Tino as always, went out of his way to make me feel special. He gave Mom money to buy me a new dress. It was a beautiful dress -- lavender in color. We all got dressed up including Mom and you guys. Nothing new for Tino -- he was always dressed up in his black suit.

We went to Echo Park that day, it was my first time there. I was so excited, we all went together and sat around feeding the the ducks. I remember we laughed alot that day. Tino rented a paddle boat. I think it was Gene and Mickey who went on it with him -- I know for sure it wasn't me.

I know someone has pictures of all of us there that day I don't remember who showed them to me. I was about six or seven years old. "
